Georgia Law Network meeting in Savannah, March 9 - 10, 2001. The
next meeting of the Georgia Law Network will be held at The Armstrong
House, 447 Bull Street, Savannah, beginning at 4 PM. Following the
meeting there will be cocktails from 5:30 and dinner at the Sail Loft at
the Savannah Yacht Club at 8 PM. Dress is business casual. On Saturday,
the session will reconvene at 8 AM for a Continental Breakfast, followed
by a panel discussion, and a session on The New Georgia Professional
Rules of Professional Conduct. CLE credit will be provided for this
session.
Page Scrantom and Holland & Knight participate in joint response to
RFP. The Page Scrantom and Holland and Knight firms jointly prepared a
response to an RFP from the Unified Government of the City of Columbus
for preparation of a unified development code. The two firms were joined
in this effort by Camiros, a national land use planning and zoning firm,
based in Chicago with whom Holland & Knight has worked on several
projects around the country. Only four firms were selected as qualified
to respond to the RFP based on preliminary submissions of qualifications
to the city government of Columbus.
Georgia Law Network sets implementation of website as immediate goal.
The Georgia Law Network announced today its plans to coordinate the
activities of its network firms on a new website: GALAWNET.ORG. The
internet site will serve as a starting point to learn about the
network's efforts throughout Georgia. The site will serve as a portal to
the websites of all the network member firms, facilitating the sharing
of information and service provision across the state of Georgia.
